About Ben Ellis

Ok, so I thought I would start off a little about myself. My name, if you didn't know already is Ben Ellis, well - actually my full name is Benjamin Ellis - but this would have been to easy in the competition!

I run Eviser, a small company based in Lancashire in the UK. I love the work I do and we have some really great customers. I'm 28, married with a dog and a cat - and a baby on the way! We are expecting our first baby this December, another member of the Ellis family.

I'm pleased to report that this Ben Ellis page has now been picked up by Google and it is currently in 17th position. Which considering the page is only 2 days old and it has had 10 minutes spent on it, is pretty damn good!

I'm not so happy to report that Mark has beaten me to getting onto page one first - Mark Campbell hit page one today - and I'm gutted he got first blood in our challenge! I'm not overly concerned, as getting their is one thing - staying there is totally different! This Ben Ellis page will beat Marks!!

Ben Ellis - Any Dream Will Do

Most recently there has been a "semi-famous" Ben Ellis in the press - he's the person that was in the BBC's "Any Dream Will Do" TV's program. Ben Ellis was 18 when he entered Any Dream Will Do.

Ben did very well, but went out in the semi-finals of Any Dream Will Do, after losing a sing-off against Lewis Bradley.

New Updates

We've been that busy that this SEO project had to be put on the back-burner, but today we have given ourselves 30 minutes to update our pages.

Ok, so first off here's an update on where this Ben Ellis page is in the search engines:

-24th on Yahoo for "Ben Ellis" - Yahoo Ben Ellis Position
-Nowhere on MSN for "Ben Ellis" - although the site map and blog pages are listed on page 4 - which is pretty dire!
-15th on Google for "Ben Ellis" - Google Ben Ellis Position - this has moved up a whole two places since my last message

So as you can see, the little amount of time I have spent on my Ben Ellis page has resulted in the page stagnating on the search engines. Not to worry, we should be able to devote a bit more time to this now.

I always remember my Dad and Grandad ordering a book with all the Ellis' listed in the world! It was a huge thick book listing all the Ellis' and it included their names and locations. It was great as a kid to flick through and find people with the same name - you guessed it, Ben Ellis! We also had an Ellis coat of arms printed, which came with the book. I still have my copy at home - and I will try and find a copyright free picture of it.

Sophie Ellis Bextor is a multi-platinum singer and song writer. She was born in 1979 (the same as me!) in West Middlesex. I'm not really a fan of hers, but I did like the track she did with DJ Spiller called Groovejet.
